For the Woman’s Ambrosia Salad, you need pecans, heavy cream, sour cream, marshmallows, pineapple, shredded coconut, canned mandarin oranges, and maraschino cherries.

You can use nuts that have already been roasted or toast them yourself. You can also add any other nuts that you like. When ready to serve Pioneer Woman’s ambrosia salad, put it in the fridge for 2 to 3 hours. When Ambrosia salad is cold, it tastes perfect.

  • Green seedless grapes, halves

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

OPEN and DUMP the fruit cans. Don’t clean, but make sure to drain. WASH the grapes and then SLICE them in half.

Step 2

REMOVE the stems from the maraschino cherries. The oranges had been cut in half. Only a few whole ones should be used to top the salad.

Use a hand mixer to whip the cream. MEASURE the sour cream. MIX the sour cream & whipped cream

MIX the chopped nuts, shredded coconut, and tiny marshmallows into the sour cream mixture. ADD the grapes, pineapple, and cherries and MIX them in.

Step 5

Mix in the mandarin oranges. Adding oranges last prevents them from breaking.

Step 6

Chill for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours before serving. This chilling combines the tastes, cools the fruit, and adds moisture to the marshmallows and coconut.
